Norway, or the Kingdom of
Norway, is a country in the
north of Europe that occupies
the western part of the
Scandinavian Peninsula. It
shares borders with Sweden,
Finland, and Russia. Norway is
very elongated by its shape;
the extensive coastline along
the North Atlantic Ocean is
famous for its fjords. Norway
tourists and simply visitors
mostly by its impressive and
varied landscapes that
stretches far across the Arctic
Circle. It is known for its fjord-
indented coastline, its
mountains, ski resorts, lakes
and forests. Most visited cities
in Norway are its capital Oslo
with its castles, its cathedrals,
its picturesque landscapes,
wild sceneries and interesting
architecture. On the west
coast there is Stavanger set
alongside a fjord. Preikestolen
is situated in Lysefjorden right
outside Stavanger.
Kristiansand is located in the
south of the country and it is
the fith largest in Norway, and
to many tourists it is the
favourite holiday city. Nidaros
Cathedral is the largest
medieval cathedral, it is
situated in Trondheim, the first
capital of Norway. |
